4/14/03 Starting Bob's Dressage Training

Bob is just a sweetheart of a horse. I rode Emma first, and every once in a while he'd do his little breathy neigh to see if she was ok.

 

He concentrates on his rider.

Figuring out the turn on the forehand.

 

Forward at the trot.  One thing he needs to learn is bend to the right...

Very bouncy over the trot poles. After three tries we had a nice straight line.

 

Learning to soften to the bit. No head tossing, but he can lean and be heavy.

He was a little silly about the fly sheet. Once they were on, though, everyone stopped swishing and stomping.
