380. Eleanor²⁵ of CASTILE (Ferdinand III²⁶) was born in Castile about 1244. Eleanor died 24 NOV 1290 in Herdeby, near Grantham, Lincolnshire, at 46 years of age. Her body was interred in Westminster Abbey.⁽²⁵⁴⁾ RESEARCH NOTES: Her heart is kept at Blackfriars Church.

She married EDWARD I "Longshanks" PLANTAGENET in Las Huelgas, OCT 1254. EDWARD was born in Palace of Westminster 17 JUN 1239. EDWARD⁽²⁵⁵⁾ was the son of HENRY III PLANTAGENET and Eleanor of PROVENCE. EDWARD died 7 JUL 1307 in Burgh-on-the-Sands, near Carlisle, at 68 years of age. His body was interred in Westminster Abbey.
