He married Godgifu (Godiva) prob by 1030. (Additional notes for Godgifu (Godiva)⁽⁸⁰²⁾) Godgifu died BETWEEN 1066 & 1086. Her body was interred in Battle Abbey in England. Earl of Mercia by 1032; dux from 1026; founder of the church in Coventry
